The renowned Textile Centre of Excellence in Huddersfield specialises in the training and development of staff and apprentices within the UK Textile Industry and also hosts the prestigious Design Incubator which provides shared workspace for up to 12 designers to start a business from. The centre has a comprehensive clothing studio and technical workshop with warping and weaving facilities and can also provide technical assistance for sampling, prototyping and small production runs. A number of new businesses have benefited from the help and assistance and have since progressed into their own premises.
How to get to us:
From Huddersfield Centre / Ring Road: Follow directions for Leeds A62 (Leeds Road). Once on the A62, follow the road for approx. 1 mile and stay in the left-hand lane at the lights and go straight on (the right lane is right turn only). When approaching the next set of traffic lights next to the 'Staples' superstore, turn left onto Red Doles Lane. The Textile Centre of Excellence is on the left after 'Booker - cash 'n carry'.
