My year as a Visual Artist in Residence at LBT has given me the most wonderful inspiration for my work. The architecture, the productions and the day to day life of the Theatre have all contributed to an amazing experience. The circle within the square of the Theatre's repeated motif has become a noticeable image throughout my work. I have used brown paper, fabric and stitching to produce constructed wall hangings and smaller embroidered pieces based on these shapes and the Theatre's turquoise and orange colourscheme. Although the Residency soon comes to an end, the experience will influence my work well into the future.
