My portfolio is predominantly photographs covering diverse topics, not wishing to pigeon hole myself into one particular style or theme. The majority of my photographs appear as they were taken, keeping digital manipulation to a minimum.
Although my recent work is taken digitally, I still have a deep passion for traditional methods and slide photography, which is a mainstay in my earlier work. Once again I have found myself back in the darkroom working on a collection of hand printed, black and white photography.
My etching collection focuses on very delicate lines drawings of flowers, but with a strong and powerful use of ink.
Yvonne Grist studied graphic design at Jacob Kramer Art College and then later at Salford University. She now works in the print industry. Yvonne has taken part in a number of successful exhibitions and is an active member of the West Yorkshire Print Workshop and Redsprout.
