The influences and ideas that underpin my work have grown from my curiosity of the silent, non-verbal dialouge that exists between horse and human. I see this myterious communication as a bridge to another level of consciousness between the species. The eyes that look back hold a deep and honest understanding. I encourage the similarities that emerge between taming the wildness of the equine spirit and the unpredicability of paint all the while encouraging a loose and spontaneous application of paint.
My work has been profiled in the Artist & Illustrator magazine and recently in the Univerisity of Huddersfield Encore alumini magazine as post graduate sucess story. Other works are on show at the Northlight Gallery, Armitage Bridge and also I am a regular contributor to the Holmfirth Art Week. My work has been included in joint and solo shows in York, Harrogate, Leeds and London.
